FutureTree is a global conglomerate with a worldwide presence today. In a short span of 4 years we have expanded our operations in 30 countries of the world and have diversified into power, mining, SEZs, cement manufacturing, and production of specialty products. FutureTree horizontally supports every vertical as a supply chain specialist with competencies lying in creating the correct combination of procurement, production and logistical expertise to ensure that our products reach our customers with minimum problems and in the shortest possible time with maximum emphasis on quality.
Secondary Metals ( procurement/ refining and trading):
FutureTree is a global leader in secondary metal procurement, trading and recycling with operations in Africa, The Middle East, Asia, Europe and the Americas. From Angola to America, FutureTree has alliances with major scrap recycling companies of the world. Now secondary metals can be divided into two segments: ferrous and non- ferrous. While ferrous is the more abundant form of secondary metal, it is the non-ferrous form of secondary metal which is much more valuable.
FutureTree has procurement, trading and recycling operations in the non ferrous forms of lead, nickel, aluminum and copper. We currently own 17 yards with state of the art processing, cleaning and compressing machines. In certain countries, FutureTree undertakes recycling from scrap to purifying to ingots to final products for the automobile industry.
Mining:
Our recent foray into the mining sector is facilitated by the large investments made in acquiring sites, equipment and in making strategic arrangements with leading players in this sector. Right now the major elements which we are mining across the world include coal, iron ore, manganese, bauxite and copper.
Free Trading Zone:
1000 acres of land have been acquired at Punjab to set up a Free Trading Zone with nearly 450 acres allotted for industrial parks, 100 acres for power generation projects, 150 acres for secondary metals processing plants, and 50 acres for a housing and IT hub. Another 150 acres have been earmarked to set up a global logistical base which would take care of all business transportation requirements from this trading zone.
Power:
FutureTree has also branched into both wind and thermal power projects to expand its presence in the power manufacturing sector. With the launch of the Poorva Powergenco Ltd. FutureTree has obtained licenses to produce 51 megawatts of power initially. This project is also being considered to be expanded into thermal power in due course of time.
Cement:
FutureTree is also setting up a slag and cement grinding unit at the RAK industrial area of UAE, with a production capacity of 2 million tonnes per annum. Apart from that operations are on in setting up a grinding unit along the eastern coast of India with a production cap of nearly one million tonnes per annum.
Specialty:
Proppants: Final talks are on to tie up with a Pune based company to manufacture proppants. Proppants are sized particles mixed with fracturing fluid, to hold fractures open after a hydraulic fracturing treatment. In addition to naturally occurring sand grains, man-made or specially engineered proppants, such as resin-coated sand or high-strength ceramic materials like sintered bauxite, may also be used. Proppant materials are carefully sorted for size and sphericity to provide an efficient conduit for production of fluid from the reservoir to the well-bore. With this alliance FutureTree will be the only Indian company to produce proppants, an essential ingredient for large scale mining operations.
